Grace View is a large modern house, with a contemporary appearance, being constructed in the 1990s. It is the first of its kind in Cornwall – a purpose built house to a Feng Shui design, guaranteeing harmony for all who stay. Grace View sits in some lovely countryside just outside the village of St Dominick (in the South East of Cornwall) and from here you can see as far as Dartmoor and the Tamar Bridge to the East and Plymouth to the South.
Grace View was originally built as a family home, but now the birds have flown the nest, we can open the doors to share with guests. We are now a holiday home with Oriental cookery demonstration.
The entrance hall leads to the comfortable sitting-room and the dining-room, the latter with sliding doors out to the patio. Upstairs are five very comfortable bedrooms and the landing has a minstrels’ gallery effect over the hall below, with Chinese characters representing peace and other welcomes painted on the walls. On the top floor are another bedroom and bathroom as well as a games-room - great for teenagers to let off steam.
If the sun is shining, guests will no doubt wish to sit out on the large first floor balcony which has marvellous views towards Kit Hill one way and the River Tamar the other.
Right on the border of Devon and Cornwall, there is plenty to do and see and Grace View waits to welcome you back at the end of a day out.
We are situated in Saltash, surrounded by rolling hills and the natural beauty of the Tamar Valley, the forgotten part of Cornwall which is often overlooked. The city of Plymouth is just on the other side of the Tamar Bridge.
Keen walkers will feel right at home as there are plenty of places to visit in the nearby countryside (see the area page).
